Hawzah News Agency (Beirut, Lebanon) – Sayyed Hashem Safieddine remarked, "Today, we're faced with a serious challenge in our region; what the occupied Palestine is going through is even more dangerous than what took place in 1948."

 He went on, "In 1948 the only threat was the establishment of the Zionist Regime, but today the real danger is that the issue of Palestine and al-Quds are about to be undermined by our enemies. The enemy has plotted to destroy al-Quds and its sanctities and wipe off Palestine from the Islamic world."

Sayyed Safieddine further asserted, "In order to defend al-Quds we need to promote the Palestinian cause worldwide and commit jihad, especially in this critical period when we're up against plots carried out by the US, Israel and some Arab countries."

"According to Islamic principles, Muslims are morally obliged to defend Jerusalem al-Quds and the whole Palestinian territories," said head of Hezbollah's Executive Council.
